Llandudno Beach
Why this place
Llandudno is a small cove framed by granite boulders, with a more contained feel than the long beaches farther south. It is a place to sit with the view, walk the sand and enjoy the changing light. The boulders are part of the appeal, but wet rocks and waves deserve care even on a calm-looking day.
Bring drinking water, snacks and a warm layer, particularly if staying towards evening. Keep children away from exposed rocks and follow beach safety advice. Check parking and access before travelling if you need an easy route to the sand. Decide about swimming from the day’s sea conditions and flags, not from how sheltered the cove appears.
