Refunds.
Four rules.
- If we cancel, you get all of your money back.
- If you cancel 28 days or more before the start, you get all of your money back.
- Inside 28 days, you can ask us to pass your place to someone you have found. It cannot be refunded.
- A booking keeps the terms it was made under. If this page changes later, your booking does not. Your excursion page shows the terms your own booking was made under.
The 28 days
We count back 28 full days from the start time in Cape Town. An excursion that starts on 3 November at 10.30am can be cancelled for a refund until 6 October at 10.30am.
If you book when the start is already less than 28 days away, rule 3 applies from the moment you book. The booking form tells you which rule applies before you pay.
How to cancel
Sign in and open the excursion page. While your refund date is still ahead, the page shows the date and a button, “Cancel booking and request full refund”. It cancels every place in the booking.
The full amount goes back to the card you paid with. We do not deduct card processing fees. We email you when the refund is confirmed. How soon it shows on your statement depends on your bank.
Passing your place to someone else
Find the person who will take your place. Then open the excursion page, choose “Transfer your ticket” and give us their name and email. An administrator arranges the change with you both. Your booking stays as it is until then, and the request has to reach us before the event starts.
If we cancel
Every paid booking is refunded in full without you having to ask, and we email you. We may have to cancel when too few people have booked for the day to run.
If something looks wrong
If your bank shows a charge and My trip shows no booking, write to info@salaamscapetown.com with the date and the amount. If you have a booking reference, include it.
