False Bay
Muizenberg Beach

Why this place
Muizenberg is a False Bay beach closely associated with learning to surf. The painted bathing boxes give the shore a familiar face, but watching lessons and the changing water is part of the visit too. It works well for a beach day where some people want an activity and others prefer time on the sand.
Book any surf lesson with an operator and ask what clothing and equipment are included. Pack a towel, dry clothes and sun protection. Check flags and lifeguard advice before entering the water, and use the current conditions to decide whether swimming is sensible. Leave valuables behind where possible and keep your beach bag within sight.
