Kramats of the Cape · Muizenberg
Sayed Abdul Aziz
A grave on the Muizenberg shore, found through a dream and later moved. Almost nothing else is known.

Very little is known of the kramat at Muizenberg. An oral account says the grave first lay on the beach front, and that a woman was led to it in a dream. It was later moved.
Even his name is uncertain, and his history is lost. People escaping slavery are known to have hidden along the False Bay coast, and in 1687 the governor, Simon van der Stel, reported hunting runaways from the Steenbergen mine there. The Society's history asks whether he was one of them.
