Signal Hill Road
Free, and the best sunset in the city. The Noon Gun fires at twelve, Monday to Saturday. Four kramats sit on the hill, the start of the circle that rings the peninsula.

Signal Hill Road
Two ways to see the Atlantic side from above. Walk up Lion’s Head and back in two to three hours, or take a tandem flight of about ten minutes off Signal Hill.
When to go: No entry fee or permit for day hikers. Sunset is 7.08pm on 25 October and 7.22pm on 10 November, and it is dark about half an hour later.
Green Point and Mouille Point
Watch the evening light along the coast, with a promenade stroll near Green Point and Mouille Point.

Four small coves below Victoria Road. Bring water because there is nothing to buy on the sand.
